Fuselage fashion label

Olga studied Fashion Design and Marketing at Regents University in London and completed a Masters Degree in the innovative “Futures for Textiles” at Central Saint Martins, London.

Since 2004, she has been a member of the International Textile Institute, being recognized with the highest award of a Fellowship in 2020.

She has extensive experience working in the industry as a designer and design consultant for clients such as Toray Textiles, the Lawn Tennis Association, a private wellness and dance studio, and individual actors and performers who required a special creation for stage appearances.

In 2002, she set up her small boutique creative brand “Fuselage Fashion” which makes wearable art and fine art. The original piece, whether on canvas or textile, are hand-made and painted individually.

The concept is true to the principles of Olga’s view on the fashion industry.

The vision of the brand Fuselage is not about aggressive business growth, profits or sales that would set back any human, environmental or ethical beliefs of the designer.

Thus, the brand does not focus on trends and endeavors to be timeless, aesthetically interesting and as valuable as traditional art such as prints, paintings or installations.

Currently, a small collection of silk scarves is available, featuring digital prints of hand-painted art pieces such as lino prints, textile paintings and digital art.

The material used is bio-degradable, should it ever reach an end-of-life point. It can also be returned to the designer for upcycling. The price is kept low for a real silk scarf. This is done deliberately to allow for all consumers on most budgets the accessibility to fashion and art.

The platform used for the sale of the scarves is Etsy – a most significant facilitator for small designers to showcase their unique work.
